When I first picked up GRMO magazine, I was reminded of "FRUiTS," a snap magazine launched in 1996 by Shoichi Aoki that spread Harajuku fashion to the world. It brought back memories of when I first started taking photos, inspired by such fashion photography.
Although "FRUiTS" ceased publication in 2016 after 20 years, it’s amazing that in 2024, young people are inspired by past works and continue to carry on the culture in new forms. For anyone interested in Tokyo's fashion scene, this is a must-have issue.
